ELTTOB TEP’s incubation brand “writtenafterwards” will be unveiled. The brand’s concept is the “establishment of a new relationship between people and fashion through heart-to-heart communication, while continuously creating and offering products and installations with passion.”

Designers: Yoshikazu Yamagata/Kentaro Tamai
Yoshikazu Yamagata graduated from the womenswear program at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2005. Kentaro Tamai graduated from the menswear program of the same school in 2004. They returned to Japan after working for various designers. In April 2007, they established writtenafterwards inc., and presented their installations at the exhibition “Newcomers We Met in Europe” (Japan Fashion Week) held at Tokyo Midtown’s 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT in August 2007.

The SPRING SUMMER 2008 writtenafterwards Collection is the brand’s first collection, and it employs lace with map patterns in order to feature a “story that begins from the time when a small girl decided to run away from home.” The collection offers products that incorporate the sailor-style school uniforms worn by Japanese girls together with images of sailors on round-the-world voyages.

On March 6, the day of the debut of writtenafterwards, brand designer Yoshikazu Yamagata will be present at the ELTTOB TEP store in order to explain the brand’s concept and products to customers (14:00 to 19:00). Please feel free to stop by our store.
